Her word for the year is “new.” When I replied that it brought this passage to mind, she exclaimed that it had, in fact, been the inspiration.
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.”
No patch of earth or heart is too tamped down or dried for Him to grow something beautiful and flourishing!
You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with abundance.
